Housekeeping Staff (Summer and/or Fall 2026) – Live and Work in the Colorado Rockies

Location: Estes Park, CO or Granby, CO
Pay: $15.16/hour | Seasonal | No Experienced Needed | On-site Housing Available

Spend Your Summer and/or Autumn Somewhere Different

Imagine starting your day surrounded by mountain views, fresh air, and quiet forest trails instead of traffic and routine. After your shift, you’re free to explore hiking trails, relax by alpine lakes, or spend time with a community of people who came here for the same reason you did.

At YMCA of the Rockies, this is more than a housekeeping job. It’s a chance to step into a new environment, build connections, and experience a summer and/or fall in the mountains. Positions are filled on a rolling basis, and scheduling availability may change. Early applications are encouraged.

We’re hiring Housekeeping Staff for Summer and/or Autumn 2026 at:

  • Estes Park Center, Estes Park, CO: 800 acres bordering Rocky Mountain National Park
  • Snow Mountain Ranch, Granby, CO: 5,100 acres of meadows, forests, and open space

What You Gain

  • A summer and/or fall living and working in the Colorado Rocky Mountains
  • Practical experience in hospitality and operations
  • A tight-knit team environment and new friendships
  • Discounted lodge room nights for friends and family
  • A break from routine and a chance to do something different
  • Access to all YMCA of the Rockies facilities, free gear rentals, ability to sign up for free passes for skiing, indoor climbing, and golf
  • Memorable experiences outside of work through staff excursions like hikes, concerts, sports games, cultural experiences, seasonal adventures and more!

Why This Job is Different

This role is ideal for people who want a change of pace and don’t mind working hard in exchange for a unique experience.

You might be a strong fit if you:

  • Want to live in the mountains for the summer and/or fall season (short-term living accommodations available on-site for $170/week if you are from outside the area, that includes: dormitory style rooms, utilities, internet, laundry, 3 daily buffet style meals)
  • Enjoy staying active and working independently
  • Take pride in creating clean, comfortable spaces
  • Are open to meeting new people and trying something new

What You’ll Do

You’ll help create a welcoming, comfortable stay for guests by keeping cabins, lodge rooms, and shared spaces clean and ready.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning guest cabins, lodge rooms, and public areas
  • Making beds, changing linens, and restocking rooms
  • Vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
  • Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, and fireplaces
  • Handling laundry duties such as sorting, washing, drying, and folding
  • Safely using cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Supporting team operations and stepping in where needed

Some roles may also include:

  • Operating laundry equipment and managing linen distribution
  • Transporting linens to guest accommodations
  • Assisting with maintenance of room features like window coverings

What You Bring

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions
  • Comfort with physically active work, including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Can work for any U.S. employer without Visa sponsorship and provide documentation (J1 Exchange Visitor category is eligible)
  • Willing to submit to criminal background and drug check

No prior experience is required. Training is provided.
