DAYS AND HOURS: DAYS/HOURS: Part-time 20 hours/week, schedule to be arranged with employer. May work varied schedule including early mornings and evening hours. DUTIES: Enforces regulations and provides for the safety of the patrons using the Recreation Center and swimming pool; participates in all cleaning duties including, but not limited to: pool, locker rooms, pool deck and surrounding amenities; teaches all facets of the American Red Cross Swimming Lesson program. Essential functions Monitors and supervises swimmers to gain compliance with pool and facility safety regulations; Recognizes hazardous situations, minimizes dangers, and prevents accidents or injury; Educates patrons on and enforces pool rules and regulations; Monitors locker rooms, observation deck and sun deck; When not actively guarding, participates in all cleaning duties including, but not limited to, pool, locker rooms, deck and surrounding amenities; Assists with safety and health of the pool and facility as directed; Attends in-service trainings as scheduled; Maintains confidentiality of data and information; Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations; Performs other related functions as otherwise assigned, delegated or required by the Aquatics Supervisor or designee on duty.
