Seasonal Maintenance

Seasonal Maintenance (April 1 - October 31) Job Summary: Sycamore Community Schools is seeking reliable and motivated individuals to support our Maintenance team during the summer months. This position plays a key role in preparing and maintaining our buildings and outdoor spaces to ensure they are safe, clean, and ready for the upcoming school year. Primary Responsibilities: Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: Operating lawn care equipment, including mowers and string trimmers General grounds maintenance, including mulching and weeding Assisting with moving furniture and equipment within school buildings Stadium and athletic facility cleaning and preparation Supporting custodial teams with interior cleaning as needed Assisting with light maintenance tasks, including painting as needed Performing other duties as assigned to support summer maintenance operations Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required Valid Driver's License required Experience operating lawn care equipment (mowers, trimmers) preferred Ability to safely drive a truck and/or pull a trailer is desired Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team Additional Information: This position will primarily involve outdoor work, with some indoor responsibilities as needed * Candidates must be able to follow safety procedures and work collaboratively with district staff Application Procedure: Apply online at the Greater Cincinnati School Application Consortium Applicants that are offered positions shall be required to submit to an FBI/BCI criminal background check.
