SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Temporary Office Assistant in our Payroll department to join our team during our peak operations. In this role, you will provide critical administrative support to our Payroll and Human Resources departments. You will assist with day-to-day data entry, payroll processing preparation, employee file maintenance, and general office tasks. Wage: $15/hr.
WHAT YOU’LL DO ON THE A-TEAM:
- 1–2 years of general office, administrative assistant, or basic accounting/payroll support
- Assist with compiling, verifying, and entering hours from weekly timesheets into our tracking systems to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Maintain high-accuracy data entry for employee records, payroll adjustments, and temporary staffing hours.
- Review payroll reports and timecards to flag and resolve missing punches or scheduling discrepancies with supervisors.
- Answer routine inquiries from employees regarding paychecks, help distribute payroll stubs, and assist with sorting mail or processing basic department correspondence.
- Build, organize, and archive physical and electronic employee files, ensuring compliance with document retention policies.
- Help organize and file documents.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- High school diploma.
- 1–2 years of general office, administrative assistant, or basic accounting/payroll support experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data entry, sorting, basic formulas) and familiarity with applicant tracking or timekeeping database software.
- Absolute discretion to support the privacy and autonomy of all physical and electronic records

- The majority of the workday is spent at a desk, operating a computer, keyboard, and phone.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move standard office boxes, payroll documents, or filing supplies weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Must have close visual clarity required for reading spreadsheet data, computer screens, and auditing handwritten paper records.
- Consistent use of hands/fingers to type, file documents, and operate standard office machinery (scanners, printers, shredders).
