We are seeking individuals, who have demonstrated a willing commitment to these values, holding them in high regard, to join our Parks team for the 2026 season, as Seasonal Park Maintenance Workers!

The purpose of this position is to preserve park lands by maintaining parks, medians and athletic fields. This is accomplished by operating necessary equipment and removing trash and debris. Other duties may include performing preventative maintenance on and repairing equipment, assisting in coordination and preparation of special and seasonal events, some leadership responsibilities and interfacing with other City employees and citizens.

Work days, hours and length of assignment will vary depending on crew placement. The season for this role is generally late March through early December.

How You Add Value Provides premier customer service to internal and external customers by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner. Maintains cleanliness of grounds by removing trash and debris from parks, medians, and Right of Ways. Performs landscaping activities by operating various pieces of equipment, including mowers, back hoes and other landscaping tools, planting and trimming shrubs, trees and flowers and maintaining athletic fields. Maintains equipment by performing preventative maintenance on park and lawn equipment on a regular basis, cleaning equipment and making repairs. Assists with special events by coordinating tasks and assisting with seasonal decorations.

Regular attendance required.

What You Bring to the Role Work requires the ability to read and understand written instructions, to understand simple processes and the routine operation of machines. Less than one year of related experience required. Valid Texas drivers license preferred. Candidates who do possess a drivers license must meet City driving standards in order to drive City vehicles.
