Seasonal Parks - Maintenance

A part time seasonal position (approved on a year-to-year basis) providing support for the maintenance department for the care and upkeep of 11 York County Parks and over 4,500 acres of land. York County offers a competitive wage and benefit package.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Each calendar year, York County Parks' employs "seasonal" positions to assist full-time staff in their day-to-day work activities. Duties include but are not limited to: lawncare (mowing, weeding, weed-whacking), sports field maintenance, trail trimming and various other maintenance duties as assigned. Work will be primarily performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Time Period: Positions limited to Park needs between January 1 thru December 31. That is, the position is approved for only that calendar year & subject to normal hiring practices, usually during summer months. Position hours will not exceed 999 per year.
