Seasonal RedZone Editor 1

The NFL Media Group located in Inglewood, CA is looking for a seasonal, part-time NFL editor with advanced skills in After Effects, Photoshop and Premiere. The Editor-1 is responsible for executing daily deliverables for NFL RedZone using game highlights and custom graphics. This position will report to the Coordinating Producer for NFL RedZone.

Responsibilities

• Produce and edit a variety of same-day highlights for NFL RedZone production
• Edit together sales feature content for NFL RedZone production; Play of the Day, Best Individual Performance, Top Defensive Play of Day, Best Overall Performance, Drive of the Day, Top 5 Plays, Best Catch, Best Run, etc.
• Edit together the end of show Every Touchdown feature
• NFL storylines from around the NFL and know how to best tell them to our audience
• Manage the story telling behind each creative output to ensure it is clear, concise, and tailored to our audience
• Exhibit Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including advanced skills in using Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop
• Work independently to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
• Design, build and animate various graphics and elements for NFL RedZone

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in production environment working with digital/ social media platforms
• Experience editing high-end content for social/ digital platforms
• Must follow and have thorough knowledge of the National Football League, associated events and storylines
• Must be able to take complex stories and concisely tell them to our fans
• Must be adaptable and able to work quickly under short deadlines
• High level of attention to detail
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, broadcast media, web production or related field preferred

• Must have strong editorial skills and NFL knowledge to know what video and soundbites are best to edit
• Must be able to respond quickly on short deadlines
• Adhere to established production schedule to meet deadlines
• A team-first attitude is mandatory

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

• Seasonal / 7-month role

Salary / Pay Range
