Join Our Team as a Seasonal Revenue Assistant

As a Seasonal Revenue Assistant, you will provide exceptional customer service to residents, businesses, and visitors while supporting the City's business licensing, revenue collection, and payment processing functions. This public-facing role combines customer service, financial transactions, and administrative support in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do

  • Assist citizens, business owners, and visitors in person, by phone, and electronically.
  • Process payments for licenses, taxes, permits, fees, and other City revenues.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding licensing, revenue accounts, payments, and City policies.
  • Support revenue operations through data entry, recordkeeping, account research, and administrative tasks.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software systems
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures and assist customers professionally

What You Bring/Your Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to speak, write, and thoroughly comprehend English
  • One (1) year of customer service, cashiering, revenue collection, business licensing, administrative support, finance, or related experience
  • Experience handling cash, payments, or financial transactions
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in local government, municipal finance, revenue, or business licensing operations
  • Associate degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Ability to speak and comprehend a second language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, etc.)

Competitive Compensation

We offer competitive wages starting from $23.47 - $25.87 per hour (up to 40 hours per week).

Note: This is a seasonal position for up to a 3-month period and is not eligible for City benefits.

This position is on-site and non-exempt.
