This is Big Sky Country for a reason. As fall turns to winter, Northwest Montana remains a destination for outdoor enthusiasts, seasonal travelers, and local residents alike. Winter recreation, changing weather conditions, and increased healthcare needs contribute to higher Emergency Department volumes during this time of year. We are seeking experienced Emergency Department nurses to join our team for a 13-week seasonal assignment and help support our community through the busy winter season.

At Logan Health, seasonal RNs are not viewed as temporary help—they are fully integrated members of the Emergency Department team. From day one, you will work alongside experienced nurses, physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and support staff delivering care across the full spectrum of emergency medicine.

Seasonal Assignment Details

• 13-week seasonal assignment
• 36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts)
• 15% seasonal premium pay
• $1,000 bonus after 30 days
• $1,000 bonus after 60 days
• $2,000 completion bonus

What We're Looking For

• Current Montana RN license or compact license eligibility
• 2+ years of Emergency Department experience
• ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required
• ENPC preferred
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

October 19 – January 16 | Autumn in the Mountains to Montana Winter

This assignment lets you experience the changing landscape of Northwest Montana as golden fall gives way to snow-covered mountains.

When you're not caring for patients, you might be:

• Taking in fall colors and golden larches throughout the region
• Hiking, biking, or enjoying scenic drives before winter settles in
• Exploring Glacier National Park and the Flathead Valley in the quieter months
• Enjoying the holiday season and Montana's small-town traditions
• Getting outside for your first winter adventures as snow arrives

️ November 2 – January 30 | Holiday Magic & Mountain Winter

Spend the holidays in Northwest Montana and settle into the peaceful rhythm of winter in the Flathead Valley.

When you're not caring for patients, you might be:

• Enjoying holiday markets, lights, concerts, and community celebrations
• Skiing or snowboarding at Whitefish Mountain Resort
• Snowshoeing or cross-country skiing through snowy mountain landscapes
• Exploring Whitefish, Kalispell, and nearby mountain communities
• Enjoying a slower winter pace with local coffee shops, restaurants, live music, and cozy evenings

️ November 16 – February 13 | Montana Winter Experience

Step into the heart of Montana winter, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and experience life in a true mountain community.

When you're not caring for patients, you might be:

• Taking advantage of the winter season at Whitefish Mountain Resort
• Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or exploring snowy trails
• Enjoying the peaceful winter scenery around Glacier National Park and the Flathead Valley
• Exploring local restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, and live entertainment
• Taking scenic drives and enjoying the slower pace of winter in Northwest Montana

November 30 – February 27 | Peak Winter & Mountain Life

Experience Northwest Montana at its most wintry, with snow-covered mountains, outdoor recreation, and cozy mountain-town living.

When you're not caring for patients, you might be:

• Spending your days off skiing or snowboarding
• Exploring winter trails by snowshoe or cross-country skis
• Enjoying Glacier National Park and the Flathead Valley from a quieter winter perspective
• Taking in winter events, live music, and the local food and coffee scene
• Enjoying crisp mountain days followed by cozy evenings—and watching the days gradually grow longer toward spring

Shift:

Night Shift - 12 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule: 13-week Assignment, 36 hours per week, 3 12-hour Night shifts, 1900-0700

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
