Mukilteo Water and Wastewater District (District) is recruiting to fill multiple full-time, seasonal utility worker positions.

Under the direction of the department supervisor, this position performs various manual labor tasks, including assisting with the routine maintenance of District-owned facilities, grounds, and vehicles, as well as any other assigned tasks. This position uses a variety of hand-powered tools and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities: The following are key duties and responsibilities associated with this position.

  • Performs general maintenance of District Facilities and grounds, including mowing, weeding, pressure washing, painting, janitorial work, scrubbing, basic carpentry and mechanical repairs, and other duties as assigned.
  • Operate small power tools necessary to maintain water and wastewater systems.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, including utilizing appropriate safety devices and equipment.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Work environment: Duties are primarily performed outdoors, requiring physical effort to perform manual labor. Lifting more than 50 pounds is required.

Requirements: Applicants must have a valid Washington State driver’s license and a safe driving record. Driving record abstracts are required before the first day of employment.
