This position provides essential support to the OHRC (Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission) by collecting samples for drug testing and other veterinary purposes. The role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to strict safety protocols, and the ability to work in a demanding environment. The Vet Tech must also be prepared to handle potentially dangerous materials and situations, while maintaining accurate records and effective communication.

NOTE, this job is a safety sensitive position subject to drug testing requirements. A positive drug test will result in a job offer being rescinded or, for active employees, termination, even if they test positive for marijuana and have a valid medical marijuana license.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 6 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
  • Assist the OHRC with collecting horse samples for testing.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with established safety procedures and regulations.
