A Taste of What Youll Do

Rombauer Vineyards is seeking a talented and motivated Seasonal Wine Technician to join our team for the upcoming harvest season. As a Wine Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of Harvest. As a Wine Technician, you will assist in every phase of the winemaking process, including wine movements, transfers, and barrel filling, as well as the care, maintenance, and sanitation of all equipment and facilities. You will also be responsible for adhering to all safety procedures and work instruction procedures, supporting quality, food safety, and GMP standards. Previous winery experience is preferred but not required. If you are interested in joining our team and contributing to the creation of exceptional wines, please apply today.

What Youll Need

  • Required to be 18 years of age or older.
  • Skilled in forklift operation
  • Required to lift roll and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to wear a respirator when necessary.
  • May be required to work all shifts including rotating shift/schedule throughout the year (day, swing, graveyard, 5x8, 4x10); required to work weekends and overtime when necessary.
  • May be required to work up to 12 hours per day and up to 7 days per week as production schedule requires.
  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.
  • Required to comply with company GMP Policies.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
  • Required to travel and work at assigned job sites and wineries
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

The Fine Print

  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
  • This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires working on-site with no telecommuting option. You will be expected to live within a commutable distance.
