Title: Seat Design Release Engineer
Location: Irvine, CA

Responsibilities

• Must be a DRE
• Design of automotive Seating component parts in CATIA V6
• Develop and execute Seating system requirements for Automotive (Cars and SUVs)
• Complete and release Seat components, sub-system and detail designs (Back Frame, Cushion frame, Foam, Trim, Plastic)
• Collaborate with key Seat component suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive seating components
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies
• Perform feasibility and packaging study
• In-depth knowledge of Plastic and metal tooling
