TradeSTAR is seeking an experienced Security Lead Technician for an opportunity with an established commercial security integrator in the San Antonio area.
If you know access control and electronic security systems, can read prints, solve installation problems in the field, and have experience keeping a crew productive, this is an opportunity to put those skills to work on commercial projects throughout San Antonio.
What You ll Do
As a Security Lead Technician, you ll take an active role in both the technical work and day-to-day leadership of the installation team.
Lead and direct security technicians and installers in the field
Install, terminate, and troubleshoot commercial access control and security systems
Install card readers, door contacts, motion detectors, electric strikes, mag-locks, panic hardware, power transfer hardware, and related devices
Install and terminate security cabling, panels, devices, and support structures
Work with IP and CCTV surveillance equipment as project scope requires
Read blueprints, schematics, and system drawings
Determine cable pathways and coordinate installation requirements
Perform jobsite walkthroughs and communicate professionally with customers and other trades
Maintain installation quality and help keep projects moving on schedule
Train and provide direction to less-experienced technicians
Troubleshoot installation issues and help drive projects through completion
What We re Looking For
Strong commercial electronic security and access control installation experience
Previous experience leading technicians or installers
Ability to work independently from prints and system drawings
Experience installing and terminating access control devices and associated hardware
Knowledge of commercial cabling and proper support methods
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and field personnel
Current State of Texas security license appropriate for the work performed
Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Reliable transportation and a valid driver s license
Flexibility to work project-driven schedules when required
