Our elementary teachers focus on developing learners with a strong foundation - in life skills, literacy, mathematics, and more. Using their deep knowledge of pedagogy in the critical areas of literacy and mathematics, teachers fluently and flexibly use resources to design learning that supports the well being, academic progress, and engagement of each student. Teachers use screening information, assessment for learning practices, and flexible use of time, space and groupings to ensure student learning and growth in literacy and mathematics. Regular communications with families as partners support learning in school and at home.

Qualifications/Licensing Requirements: The successful candidate must have earned a B.A. or B.S. degree and holds or is eligible for a Minnesota State Licensure in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education. Additional demonstrated qualifications include: commitment to the equitable education of all students, creative planning and organizational skills, and highly effective interpersonal skills. Ability to successfully implement the responsibilities of the position overview listed above.
