St. Matthew School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Second Grade Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, faith-filled learning environment that supports the academic, spiritual, social, and emotional growth of students.
Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging instruction aligned with curriculum standards, maintaining effective classroom management, assessing student progress, communicating regularly with parents, and collaborating with faculty and administration. As a Catholic school teacher, the successful candidate will model Christian values and actively participate in the faith life of the school. The second grade teacher also plays an important role in preparing students for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion.
Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor''s degree; a current Wisconsin teaching license and prior teaching experience are preferred. The second grade teacher is responsible for sacramental preparation and must be a practicing Catholic committed to supporting the faith formation of students.
