HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT 

  • Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager (i.e. vacation, temporary workers, overtime work). 

  • Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members daily. 

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill production orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely manner. 

  • Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met while ensuring safety standards and 6S policies are followed. 

  • Communicate continuously with supervisors and team leaders in other departments, and/or shifts, to ensure that resources are deployed effectively. 

  • Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets. 

  • Monitor quality of product throughout the production process. 

  • Lead Fast Response Board meetings. 

  • Participate in all Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities. 

YOUR KEY ATTRIBUTES 

  • Minimum of three+ years of prior work experience in a production environment supervising or leading other production employees, preferably automotive experience. 

  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and comfortable leading start of shift/Toolbox meetings. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel Outlook, etc) in order to submit daily production reports in Excel. 

  • Proven decision-making skills. 

  • Solid people skills and a positive, outgoing attitude. 

  • Comfortable in a leadership role but also collaborative when interacting with all levels of the organization. 

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills. 

  • Experience with PLEX ERP system is a plus. 

  • Injection molding experience is a plus. 

  • College degree in operations, business or a related field is a plus.
