Position Details

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate CTE Teacher to join our team at Gwinn Middle/High School. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in Career and Technical Education. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, and have a proven track record of providing students with an engaging and challenging learning experience.

Successful Candidate must be able to meet the following qualifications:

Ideal candidate would be CTE certified in any of the following industry standards:

  • Manufacturing and Product Development
  • Building and Construction Trades
  • Other Industry Sectors will be considered

Ideal courses taught may include CADD, Welding, Industrial Technology, and Small Engine Repair. Courses will be designed and planned based upon the skills, interests and certification of the selected candidate.

Candidate should be familiar with current classroom technology including, but not limited to Google Docs, Gmail, and general PC/Microsoft functionality.

Any prior certifications, training, or teaching experience should be noted.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver instructional material in Career and Technical Education subject areas

  • Create lesson plans, assessments, and other instructional materials that align with state and national standards

  • Provide individualized instruction to students, including those with diverse learning needs

  • Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes student learning and engagement

  • Utilize technology and other resources to enhance instruction and student learning

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that supports student learning and success

  • Participate in professional development activities to stay current in subject matter and instructional practices

  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and instructional activities

  • Participate in school and district-wide activities and events as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

  • Valid teaching certification in Career and Technical Education or related field

  • Experience teaching Career and Technical Education courses at the middle or high school level

  • Knowledge of state and national standards for Career and Technical Education

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

  • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students

  • Proficiency in technology and instructional technology tools

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth.
