Summary:We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Secondary Math Teacher to join our team at Tekonsha Jr/Sr High School. The ideal candidate will be able to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students in grades 7-12, while also providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in mathematics.Responsibilities:- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state and national standards- Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration- Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of methods, including quizzes, tests, and projects- Provide individualized support to students who are struggling with math concepts- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and areas for improvement- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive and effective educational experience for studentsRequirements:- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field- Valid State of Michigan teaching certification in Mathematics (Mathematics -EX endorsement)- Experience teaching secondary math, preferably in a public school setting preferred- Strong knowledge of state and national standards for mathematics education- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members- Passion for teaching and helping students succeed in mathematics.Compensation: Per Collective Bargaining AgreementInterested candidates can send resume, references, and letter of interest to: JoEllen O'Keefe Tekonsha Community Schools 245 S.
