Position Summary:
Western Career Prep High School is seeking one (1) full-time science teacher with an endorsement in Science (DX or DI) for the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Science curriculum to 9th-12th grade students while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. Posting is open until filled.
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
- Curriculum Delivery: Responsible for delivering the Science curriculum to high school students.
- Student Engagement: Ability to connect meaningfully with middle school students.
- Collaboration: Actively participate in a Professional Learning Community (PLC).
- Subject Expertise: Possess specific subject area knowledge in Science.
- Communication: Regularly communicate with students, families, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong ability to problem-solve and seek creative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
- Endorsement: Must have an endorsement in Science (DX or DI).
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
