    Internal/External

    Position: Secondary Social Studies Teacher - Grades 9-12

    Location: Children's Village School

    Specific Qualifications:

    • Valid Michigan teaching certificate with full Special Education certification required
    • RX or CX endorsements required
    • Must demonstrate knowledge and/or understanding in consistent use of data to monitor student growth, inform instruction, and develop interventions
    • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, parents, and staff
    • Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills
    • Competency in student management and supervision Responsibilities:
    • Attention to the social emotional individual needs of students
    • Adapt instructional and social-emotional materials to meet the needs of students
    • Demonstrated use of instructional strategies, materials, resources and interventions for all students
    • Monitor and document student growth
    • Planning and organization of instruction for the benefit of all students
    • Maintain accurate student records
    • Conduct that serves as models for students and colleagues
    • Adapt instructional and social-emotional materials to meet the needs of students

    Reports To: Principal & Executive Director of Student Support Services

    Workday/Week: Monday - Friday

    Starting Date: ASAP

    Compensation: Per WEA Master Agreement
