Secret-Cleared Embedded Software Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Embedded Software Engineer in Chandler, AZ for a one-year contract role supporting Northrop Grumman.

The Embedded Software Engineer will support Launch Systems programs by developing, debugging, testing, integrating, and maintaining real-time embedded software. This onsite role requires C/C++ object-oriented software development experience in a Linux environment, embedded real-time software experience, RTOS experience, full software development lifecycle experience, and an active DoD Secret clearance investigated within the last 5 years.

Required Skills

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, or a related discipline.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance investigated within the last 5 years.
• Object-oriented software development experience in C/C++.
• Linux development experience.
• Embedded real-time software development, debugging, and testing experience.
• Real-time operating system experience, such as VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or equivalent RTOS.
• Full software development lifecycle experience.
• Ability to support requirements development, architecture development, detailed design, coding, unit testing, integration, and test.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Chandler, AZ.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PowerPC, ARM, and/or RISC-V architectures.
• Experience with real-time computer-in-the-loop or hardware-in-the-loop test laboratories.
• Experience developing interfaces to support weapon system integration.
• Launch vehicle, missile defense, aerospace, defense, or mission-critical embedded software experience.

What You’ll Do

• Develop embedded real-time software for Launch Systems programs.
• Support requirements development, software architecture, detailed design, coding, unit testing, integration, and test.
• Develop software in C/C++ within a Linux environment.
• Debug and test embedded real-time software.
• Work with RTOS environments such as VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or equivalent systems.
• Ensure software standards are met.
• Support integration and testing activities for real-time embedded systems.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot software issues and support technical problem resolution.
• Support weapon system integration efforts as needed.

Work Schedule / Shift

• 9x80 A schedule.
• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Onsite role.

Pay

• $90.00/hour
