Secret-Cleared Embedded Software Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Embedded Software Engineer in Grand Prairie, TX for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Embedded Software Engineer will design, develop, and implement embedded C/C++ software supporting missile programs. This role includes requirements analysis, architecture and design, implementation, integration, simulation support, and work supporting flight testing of missile subsystems. The position requires an active Secret clearance, strong C/C++ and Linux experience, real-time embedded systems experience, and previous hardware-in-the-loop experience.

Required Skills

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 11+ years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Grand Prairie, TX.
• Proficiency in C/C++, including C++ version 11 or higher.
• Proficiency with Linux systems.
• Experience with real-time operating environments.
• Previous hardware-in-the-loop experience working with real-time embedded systems.
• Experience with simulation systems.
• Ability to perform software requirements analysis.
• Ability to develop software architecture and design.
• Ability to implement and integrate embedded software.
• Ability to support flight testing of missile subsystems.

Preferred Skills

• Ada experience.
• Full software development life cycle experience.
• Git experience.
• GitLab experience.
• JIRA experience.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and implement embedded C/C++ software for missile programs.
• Analyze software requirements.
• Develop software architecture and design documentation.
• Implement embedded software for real-time systems.
• Integrate software with missile subsystem hardware and simulation environments.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Support simulation systems and real-time embedded software validation.
• Support flight testing objectives for missile subsystems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot, test, and refine embedded software.

Work Schedule / Shift

• Monday-Thursday, 4x10A schedule.
• 1st shift.
• Full-time onsite in Grand Prairie, TX.

Pay

• $113.22 per hour
