Secret-Cleared Environmental Test Technician

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Environmental Test Technician in Wayne, New Jersey for an approximately five-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will perform environmental testing and stress screening on aerospace and defense hardware, including thermal and vibration testing in a high-demand laboratory environment.

Required Skills

• High school diploma, trade school diploma, or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of electronic technology acquired through up to 2 years of advanced study or technical training.
• Experience working in an environmental test laboratory.
• Experience performing thermal and vibration testing.
• Ability to operate and monitor environmental test chambers.
• Experience executing established test procedures and accurately recording test data.
• Ability to maintain detailed testing and laboratory logs.
• Ability to manage multiple test activities and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain strict documentation and compliance standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 laboratory environment.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required to start.
• U.S. citizenship required.

What You'll Do

• Operate and monitor environmental test chambers used to simulate extreme hot and cold conditions.
• Conduct vibration and environmental stress-screening tests on aerospace and defense hardware.
• Execute test protocols according to established procedures.
• Collect, document, and maintain accurate test data.
• Maintain detailed laboratory and equipment logs.
• Monitor multiple testing activities simultaneously and adjust priorities as needed.
• Support laboratory operations in a 24/7 testing environment.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and help ensure uninterrupted testing capability.
• Support paperless documentation and test-record workflows.
• Help maintain compliance with applicable laboratory procedures and quality requirements.

Work Schedule / Shift

• 4th Shift: Friday Sunday.
• 3/12 schedule.
• Typically approximately 6:30 AM 6:30 PM.
• Overtime may be required.

Pay

• $35.56 per hour.
