PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Field Technician in Buffalo, NY for a contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Field Technician will support Joint Threat Emitter electronic warfare systems at U.S. Air Force sites across the U.S. and internationally. This role requires hands-on experience with radar, electronic warfare, RF, or digital systems, along with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, and maintain mission-critical equipment in the field.
Required Skills
- Active or interim Secret clearance required to start.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- 4+ years of relevant field technician experience, or associate degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years of related experience.
- Experience testing, troubleshooting, and repairing radar, electronic warfare, RF, or digital equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify electronic systems and subsystems.
- Experience using electronic and RF test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power meters.
- Ability to analyze system performance, diagnose faults, and perform corrective actions.
- Ability to lift and position equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 100%.
Preferred Skills
- Associate degree or higher in a technical field.
- 4+ years of customer-facing field support experience.
- JTE or CEESIM system experience.
- U.S. military electronic warfare or RF training.
- Strong radar, electronic warfare, and RF electronics diagnostics experience.
What You’ll Do
- Deploy to USAF locations to upgrade and maintain JTE systems.
- Install engineering modifications and system enhancements.
- Troubleshoot integrated radar, electronic warfare, and digital RF systems.
- Operate and maintain RF and electronic test equipment.
- Perform field maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and technical support.
- Document work performed and provide status updates to stakeholders.
- Support customer site requirements to maintain mission readiness.
Work Schedule / Shift
- Full-time onsite role.
- 5x8 schedule, Monday–Friday.
- Travel may be required up to 100%.
