PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared RF Engineer in Chelmsford, MA for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The RF Engineer will support production of complex multi-function modules used in high-reliability applications across all phases of the product life cycle. This role includes hands-on electronics laboratory work, RF microwave testing, production support, troubleshooting, and integration issue resolution. The position requires an active Secret clearance, RF microwave test equipment experience, and the ability to work closely with hardware, systems, circuit design, technical, and manufacturing teams.
Required Skills
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, or bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math.
• Bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Active Secret clearance required to start.
• Experience troubleshooting designs and resolving integration issues in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on hardware experience.
• Experience using RF microwave test equipment.
• Experience using microwave simulation tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Ability to collaborate with hardware engineers, systems engineers, circuit design engineers, technical support personnel, and manufacturing support personnel.
Preferred Skills
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
• Significant experience in the defense electronics industry.
• Expertise with RF subsystems and hardware, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, microwave components, low-noise amplifiers, high-power amplifiers, advanced electronic modules, mixers, switches, frequency generation circuits, and frequency conversion circuits.
• Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques.
• Experience with technical documentation such as specifications, schematic drawings, and test data.
• Experience with customer interface, including technical presentations.
• Prior RF design experience.
• Ability to lead failure investigations on production or technical issues.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with manufacturing engineers, industrial engineers, and production operators.
What You’ll Do

• Support product development, testing, production, and issue resolution across the product life cycle.
• Lead or support failure investigations for production and technical issues.
Work Schedule / Shift
• First 6 weeks of training: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

• Job ID 22116: Thursday-Sunday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM after training.

• $97.12 per hour
