PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Software Developer in Baltimore, MD for a hybrid one-year contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Software Developer will support modern software design, API development, DevSecOps practices, and real-time/combat system projects. This role includes front-end development with React, back-end service development, API integration, automated testing, and deployment in Linux/WSL and containerized environments. The position requires active Secret clearance and experience working in Agile software development environments.
Required Skills
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Proficiency with C++ and Java.
• Hands-on experience building front-end UI components with React.
• Experience with React hooks, functional components, and state management libraries.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining APIs.
• Working knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with automated testing tools.
• Experience developing, building, and debugging applications in Linux/WSL.
• Practical experience with AWS services.
• Comfortable using development tools such as VSCode, Eclipse, or NetBeans.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Cosmos or similar mission-planning or analysis tools.
• Experience with real-time or combat systems and related performance constraints.
• Cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with containerized deployments.
• Experience writing automated UI tests.
• Experience working in a hybrid remote environment.

Pay
• $112.87 per hour
