PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Eligible Electrical Engineer in San Diego, CA for an onsite one-year contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Electrical Engineer will support the development of next-generation software-defined radios and advanced communication systems. This role includes researching, designing, developing, and testing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. The position requires electrical circuit design and debugging experience, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Required Skills

U.S. citizenship required.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with 3+ years of experience.

Experience reading and interpreting specifications, schematics, and block diagrams.

Experience designing and debugging electrical circuits and/or products.

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Preferred Skills

Experience working independently on complex projects.

Experience with RF test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.

Experience with RF/digital hardware and software.

Basic understanding of VHDL concepts and programming.

Experience with hardware requirements derivation.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Experience with AWR Microwave Office, LTSpice, Xpedition, Mentor Graphics, LabVIEW, or DOORS.

What You’ll Do

Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.

Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems.

Support electrical engineering activities for software-defined radios and communication systems.

Read and interpret specifications, schematics, and block diagrams.

Design and debug electrical circuits and products.

Work onsite with electrical engineering teams supporting advanced aerospace and defense systems.

Pay

$65.44 per hour
