PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Eligible Structural Assembler in Iuka, MS for a one-year contract role supporting Northrop Grumman.

The Structural Assembler will support aerospace manufacturing operations by reading blueprints, fabricating structural assemblies, aligning parts on jigs, and performing precision drilling, countersinking, fitting, riveting, reaming, and related assembly work. This role requires hands-on manufacturing or maintenance experience with hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, or systems.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of experience with hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, or systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, or maintenance environment.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance and Special Program Access.
  • Ability to successfully complete ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Ability to fabricate structural assemblies from blueprints.
  • Experience with precision drilling, countersinking, calibrated tools, and part-fitting operations.
  • Ability to align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
  • Experience filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
  • Ability to measure parts with precision tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Ability to use manufacturing shop controls and systems.
  • Ability to work any shift.
  • Ability to perform moderately strenuous and repetitive work, including bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 lbs., working overhead or at heights, and accessing small or confined spaces.
  • Ability to use required PPE on the shop floor.

Preferred Skills

  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • Experience using measuring equipment and power hand tools, including drills, grinders, sanders, cutting wheels, saws, tape measures, scales, micrometers, and dial calipers.
  • Ability to read technical specifications, operating procedures, and engineering drawings.
  • Experience working from electronic or written instructions.
  • Continuous improvement experience in production methods, equipment performance, or team effectiveness.

What You’ll Do

  • Read and interpret blueprints for structural assembly work.
  • Fabricate structural assemblies using precision drilling, countersinking, and calibrated tools.
  • Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
  • Perform part-fitting operations including filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
  • Measure and verify parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools.
  • Modify incomplete or complete assemblies to incorporate structural changes.
  • Verify quality using statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Use manufacturing shop controls and systems daily.
  • Support continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance, and team effectiveness.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • 4x10 schedule, Monday–Thursday.
  • A Shift: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM.
  • B Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 PM–4:00 AM.
  • Must be able to work any shift.
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Pay

  • $65.06/hour
