JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: School Secretary II or III
LOCATION: County Schools
DIVISION: Administrative and Business Services
DEPARTMENT (FUNCIONAL AREA): Support Services
RESPONSIBILITY OR PURPOSE (NARRATIVE): To perform general clerical tasks,
transcribe, prepare reports, receive callers and refer them to proper persons, operate
office machines, keep records and handle routine correspondence.
ACCOUNTABLE TO: School Principal
REGULAR DUTIES (LIST IN GENERAL, MAJOR FUNCTIONS):
Performs receptionist (phone, mail and correspondence) duties.
Type's federal, state and county reports related to operation of the individual
school.
Completes the Payroll Attendance Form for submission to school district's
administrative offices.
Receipts all money derived from all school functions.
Distributes and accounts for all checks of the school.
Prepares monthly financial statements.
Be able to compile a spreadsheet using column titles, sort functions, and be able
to calculate using formulas within the spreadsheet.
Set up a spreadsheet using sort functions and use a list created in the
spreadsheet to mail merge addresses.

and State regulations, of all financial transactions of the school.
11.Provides leadership and support in his/her area of responsibility.

responsibility.

14.Maintains professional work habits.
15.Maintains and upgrades his/her professional skills.
16.Utilities computer programs to facilitate record keeping process.
17.Performs other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
