- Able to prioritize duties when serving the needs of students, parents, teachers, and staff while also completing required bookkeeping duties
- Knowledge of SBDM and School Activitiy Funds budgets
- Knowledge of Red Book rules and regulations
- Knowledge of MUNIS and district bookkeeping system
- Knowledge of payroll procedures for both certified and classified staff including Veritime
- Knowledge of school inventory procedures
- Partner with the Library Media Specialist and School Technology Coordinator with budgets and ordering of resources
- Knowledge of all purchasing requirements of the district
- Knowledge of maintaining and using computer, printer, multi-line phone system, fax machine, copier, laminator, poster maker
- Willing to work flexible hours at the discretion of the principal;could involve early or late hours as needed
- Willing to take on extra duties including, but not limited to, monitoring of the school''s AED, giving medication to students, and other duties as assigned by the principal.

- Willing to work in the summer as substitue office clerical as needed
Hours: 4 hours per day
Contract Length: 205 days per year
- 170 student instructional days
- 4 holidays
- 7 plannning days
- 24 extended days
Contract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date
Employment Status: Full-time with benefits
Employment Type: 11-month employee on the classified pay schedule
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Documentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.
Compensation & Experience Credit
2026-2027 Pay Scale
- Starting Pay (Step 0): $17.46/hour
- Experienced Pay (Step 10): $21.33/hour

New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.
- The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.
Payroll Note: While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 11 months. You will receive 3 paychecks at the end of June.
Salary Formula: Hours per day × Hourly rate = Daily rate <> Daily rate × Contracted days = Annual salary. <> Annual salary ÷ Remaining pay periods = Gross biweekly pay
