Position: Secretary
Hours: 195 days, 1560 hours
5 days per week, 8 hours per day (school year)
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; related coursework or degree preferred
- Recent, successful experience in a secretarial or administrative role handling diverse, multi-duty functions
- Thorough knowledge of modern office procedures and proficiency in operating standard office equipment
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs and Sheets) and school management software (DASL and ProgressBook preferred)
- Strong technical aptitude, including excellent keyboarding skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new software, programs, and devices
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a professional, welcoming, and public service-minded demeanor
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to support administrators, staff, students, and parents
- Ability to take direction well, work independently, and constructively apply feedback
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
- Self-motivated, flexible, and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Consistent use of excellent judgment, tact, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
- Must successfully pass BCI/FBI criminal background checks and a pre-employment drug screening
- Strict compliance with drug-free workplace rules and Board of Education policies
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for all assigned responsibilities
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may deem appropriate and acceptable
