Primary Purpose:

Responsible for performing secretarial duties for supervisors of special education district-wide evaluation staff.

Qualifications/Skills:

Education/Certification:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Minimum Assessment Standard: Broad knowledge of MS Word and basic knowledge of MS Excel.
  • File maintenance skills.
  • Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use personal computer and software.
Experience:
  • Previous successful secretarial experience.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:

Communication:
  • Direct questions, requests and concerns to appropriate campus personnel.
  • Coordinate the logistics of monthly district-wide evaluation personnel meetings.
Clerical Support:
  • Perform secretarial duties for supervisors of campus diagnosticians, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology and Speech/Language Pathologists.
  • Maintain database of all special education evaluations conducted in the district.
  • Utilize computer software to develop and maintain informational systems for diagnosticians, LSSP's and SLP's.
  • Coordinate with SERS Specialist to maintain tracking of all test kits, protocols and associated software.
  • Maintain filing systems of materials utilized in the evaluation process.
  • Order test kits and protocols and purge out dated items when appropriate.
  • Process and distribute evaluation reports.
  • Maintain Private School Evaluations database.
  • Assists in monitoring SHARS process.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • This position requires regular in-person interaction with the public.

  • Frequent sitting, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling.
  • Moving small stacks of textbooks, boxes, equipment and other campus equipment.
  • May require occasional extended hours.
