The Sheboygan Area School District seeks a secretary to join the Special Education and Pupil Services Office within the Student and Instructional Services Department. This position serves as the primary administrative support for the Special Education and Pupil Services Office and works closely with administrators, school psychologists, special education staff, counselors, related service providers, and families to support district programs and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Review and process special education evaluations, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and Section 504 Plans for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Score, compile, and maintain evaluation and assessment data.
Manage and maintain confidential student records and special education documentation.
Support special education transportation services, including coordinating transportation requests and communicating with transportation providers, families, and school staff.
Monitor timelines and maintain records to support compliance with special education and Section 504 requirements.
Prepare reports, correspondence, and other documents related to special education and pupil services programs.
Serve as a resource for staff and families by responding to questions and directing inquiries to appropriate personnel.
Maintain student information within district data systems and ensure the accuracy of records.
Support district initiatives related to student services, assessments, and compliance reporting.
Provide administrative support to department administrators and assist with other duties as assigned.
