Find a rewarding career making a difference: Join the Office of the Attorney General!The Department of Law, Civil Litigation and Employment Law section is seeking a Litigation Manager to lead and improve how the Section tracks, manages, and delivers litigation across multiple practice areas. This role offers the opportunity to build and refine systems that support litigation operation, analyze case and workload data to inform leadership decision, and drive meaningful process improvements across the Section and Department.WHAT YOU WILL DOManage the Section's litigation related projects and identify opportunities to improve how litigation work is tracked, coordinated, and delivered.Collect, track, and analyze litigation data to identify trends, workloads, and resource needs, and use that information to support staffing decisions and operational improvements.Identify staffing needs, improve workflows, implement best practices in litigation matters, and facilitate after action reviews.Assist the Section's leadership team, including the State and Federal Employment Litigation Program, in managing litigation matters through project management and coordination of paralegal staffing.Serve as work lead and resource for all section paralegals, guiding and improving how work is performed across the section.Support coordination of case data collection, knowledge and document management procedures, quality control for discovery, case information management conventions, collaboration with litigation support, trial preparation and trial presentation.Identify and implement process improvements ensuring the Section's litigation practices meet or exceed industry standards.Develop manuals and trainings to support the implementation of new and existing practices and procedures.Train paralegals and attorneys on litigation-related systems and assist with onboarding new attorneys and paralegals regarding litigation systems and practices in the Section.Salary NoteAlthough a salary range is listed, salary will be set commensurate with the successful candidate's qualifications and in compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.This recruitment may be used to fill multiple positions in the Department of Law, Civil Litigation and Employment Law Section.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORResidency Requirement: This posting is only open to residents of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSSeven (7) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.ORA combination of related education and or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to seven (7) years.REQUIRED COMPETENCIESAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, including the ability to organize, analyze, and interpret complex datasets.Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify trends or workload patterns, and translate information into practical recommendations.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Communication & listening: inspires confidence through active listening and effective communication with colleagues, clients, and leadership.Flexible & adaptable management: accepts, adapts, and contributes positively to change; leads with new concepts and ideas; encourages others to be equally adaptive and flexible.Coaching & developing people: invests in talent through coaching and sponsorship and by pushing individuals outside of their comfort zones to grow as professionals.Creative & strategic problem solving: takes a result-oriented, open-minded, and innovative approach to overcoming challenges.Interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence: demonstrates and models self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and sensitivity in working with a variety and diversity of personalities.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSLegal project management and or legal process analysis and improvementExperience tracking workloads, case assignments, or operational metrics across teams or projectsConsolidating information from multiple sources (case management systems, spreadsheets, reports)Working in a litigation environmentFamiliarity with legal case management systems (such as ProLaw)Developing dashboards or visual reportsCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTApplicants must pass a thorough background investigation prior to appointment.This position offers flexible work arrangements.
