Security Access Control Manager

The Security Access Control Manager is responsible for overseeing physical and logical access control programs to ensure the security of facilities, assets, information, and personnel. This role develops and implements security policies, manages access control systems, monitors compliance, and leads efforts to protect the organization from unauthorized access and security threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain access control policies, procedures, and standards.
• Manage physical access control systems, including badge issuance, card readers, biometric systems, and visitor management programs.
• Oversee user access provisioning, modification, and deactivation processes.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of access rights and permissions.

Security Operations:

• Monitor security systems and respond to access-related incidents and security breaches.
• Investigate unauthorized access attempts and security violations.
• Coordinate with security operations, facilities, IT, and business units to resolve access issues.
• Ensure emergency access procedures are established and maintained.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with corporate security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Conduct risk assessments related to access control and physical security.
• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
• Support internal and external audits.

Technology & Systems Administration:

• Manage access control platforms and related security technologies.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement system enhancements and upgrades.
• Maintain system documentation, user records, and audit trails.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for system maintenance and support.

Leadership & Training:

• Lead and develop access control and security personnel.
• Provide training and awareness programs on access control policies and procedures.
• Develop performance metrics and reporting for leadership.
• Foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Criminal Justice, Security Management, Information Security, Business Administration, or related field degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in security management, access control administration, physical security, or related areas.
• Experience managing enterprise access control systems and security technologies.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices, risk management, and compliance requirements.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.
