NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, and technical support to the Environmental Protection Agency through the Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in Computer science, research design, mathematics/statistics OR MA/MS Degree in Computer Science, Research Design, Mathematics or Statistics OR Previously completed training in Database management

  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS OneDrive
Duties:

Assignments in this Tier involve expert level performance and extensive professional experience in database management, along with expertise for coordination of a variety of programs in the Mission Support Division with experience working in environmental programs preferred. MSD Program coordination work will include PIV cards, key control, COOP, and OEP for SSFM. R7IT programs include Property, eBusiness, and handling information in enterprise applications such as Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams. Demonstrated capacity to interface between computer technology developers and end users is critical. Position also requires technical writing skills sufficient to review technical reports/deliverables and provide succinct summaries.

  • SSFM ? PIV Card activation, certificate updates, building access. This work will be done independently using professional judgement and decision-making.   25%
  • SSFM ? Develop and implement databases and tracking tools for branch metrics and operations. Includes independently developing a robust method to track multiple metrics across all SSFM Branch programs, advising management on the best ways to track and improve metrics, and using expert system management skills to automate data information flows.   20%
  • R7IT ? Maintain and coordinate AAMS (Sunflower) Property Management System to improve inventory management for the branch. Advise management on improvement that can be made for inventory management practices and tracking.   20%
  • R7IT ? Maintain and coordinate data and information in applications supporting broad-scope regional operations including eBusiness, MS Office Suite, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.   15%
  • SSFM ? Physical key control program-Develop a method and use sound and independent judgement to improve the region?s physical key control systems.   10%
  • SSFM ? Coordinate and advise on branch information and communications used by the branch to convey mission-critical information on a variety of systems and programs including SharePoint, COOP/OEP plans/documents, R7@Work, and other methods of communications.   10%
