Security Architect

Role: Senior Security Architect
Location: Washington, DC
Duration: 6 Months Possible Extension (100% Remote)

Senior Security Architect responsible for designing and driving enterprise security architecture across Azure and multi-cloud environments, with a strong focus on AI/LLM security, cloud-native applications, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC). The role will establish secure, scalable architecture and risk controls for enterprise cloud and AI/ML solutions.

Responsibilities:

• 15+ years of professional IT experience, including 10+ years in Security/Solution Architecture.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Azure Cloud Security and enterprise security architecture.
• Experience with AI/LLM security, including GenAI risk assessment, threat modeling, security controls, and mitigation strategies.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, network security, data protection, encryption, and cloud security governance.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Policy, AWS Config/SCPs, or GCP Policy; experience with multiple cloud platforms is preferred.
• Strong experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or similar Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for security automation.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps, security automation, Policy-as-Code, and cloud-native security controls.
• Ability to develop security strategies, architecture standards, and controls for enterprise applications and AI/ML platforms.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with architects, engineering teams, business stakeholders, and security leadership.

Certifications:
CISSP MUST HAVE. Azure, AWS, GCP security/architecture certifications such as AZ-500, AZ-305, AWS Security Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer/Architect are preferred.
