Security Dispatcher, Nights

Overview: Responsibilities:

Daily operation of Security Dispatch (communication center). Effective pro-active monitoring of CCTV systems. Answers all 3911 emergency calls. Screening of after hour visitors using Star system to verify patient information. Required to communicate with visitors, staff, physicians, patients and family members.

What you will do

• Dispatches resources and maintains activity log.
• Monitors CCTV and alarms systems.
• Responds quickly to telephone and intercom calls.
• Enforces the after hour visitation process.
• Prioritizes all requests for service.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High school graduate or GED

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Two (2) years of experience in the field as a 911 operator or as a Security/Police Dispatcher, or related law enforcement or security experience. 

 

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

None.

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess excellent public relations/customer service skills and able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.  Must possess multi-tasking ability.
