We are currently looking to hire a Security Driver to join our team embedded with our client in Washington, DC! This position requires working onsite with our client in Washington, DC.*
This role follows a 12-hour shift schedule, consisting of four consecutive workdays followed by four days off. Shifts rotate between Day-Shift and Night-Shift schedules approximately every three months.
This is an armed position. Candidates must currently possess, maintain, or be able to obtain a valid concealed carry firearm permit and legally carry a firearm in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Security Driver will provide safe and timely vehicle transport for the client and their guests in and around the Greater Washington, DC Area. This armed role is expected to perform the following functions:
• Develop and execute advanced work/route planning • Maintain vehicle servicing requirements • Ensure punctual and satisfactory client transport • Work directly with clients, guests, security teams, internal teams, external stakeholders, and key business partners to deliver best-in-class driving services
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide a "white-glove" driving service as the personal driver for the client and guests, including companion animals
Safeguards the Principal and guests from all forms of security and safety hazards, ensuring the safety and security of passengers during transit
Coordinates logistics and plans all details relating to the Principals or guest's physical location, including movements in, out, and around the site, while preparing for emergencies and other contingencies
Operates vehicle in a safe and comfortable manner
Develops and executes operation plans, route planning, and advanced work, preparing routes in advance, including alternate routes
Conducts vehicle checks for cleanliness, functionality, and fuel level
Identifies threats and intervenes along the route when appropriate
Renders aid in the event of illness, accident, or other safety hazards
Works with home office staff and security teams to ensure a coordinated pick-up/drop-off routine
Provides residential security support as needed, including exterior patrols, property checks, door and access verification, and vendor/visitor check-ins to ensure overall site safety and security
Identifies, tracks, logs, and coordinates vehicle fleet maintenance requirements
Develops and implements internal processes and procedures
Maintains excellent rapport and open lines of communication regarding client needs, requests for support, service issues, and deliverables
Proactively communicates with the client regarding identified delays or other route issues
Understands, conforms with, and abides by all Local, State, and Federal laws/regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
This position requires up to 10% travel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of equivalent or relevant industry experience
Ability to obtain a firearm permit for concealed carry and carry a firearm in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia
First Aid/CPR
Operational experience driving high-profile executives or high-net-worth passengers
Current Driver's License with a flawless driving record
May be required to obtain a guard card
Thorough understanding of local and federal laws and regulations related to personal driver services
Well-versed in driving in and around the Greater Washington D.C. Area
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Operational experience with residential security teams, executive protection details, and/or high-profile corporate security teams
Emotional intelligence and a customer-focused approach
A successful track record operating within a high-touch, customer service environment
Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
Ability to remain calm under stressful driving conditions
High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information, excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort working with senior leadership
Demonstrated computer skills, including Google Suite and MS Office applications
Skilled in synthesizing facts, concepts, and principles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience providing executive driving service for individuals with mobility issues
Defensive Driving and/or EVOC certifications
Advanced medical training (EMT, WEMT, WFR, TCCC/TECC)
Executive Protection and/or Tactical training preferred
Working knowledge and comfortable with the use of communication apps (ie. Signal, WhatsApp)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
