Job Title: Cybersecurity Senior Engineer
Duration: 3+ Months Contract with possible extension
Location: Atlanta, GA

Role Summary
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Senior Engineer to support business initiatives by partnering with cross-functional teams and ensuring secure, compliant solutions across the organization. This role is responsible for integrating security and privacy requirements into system architecture, identifying risks, and guiding projects from concept through implementation and validation.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to embed security and privacy into solutions
  • Review system architectures and designs to identify security gaps and recommend improvements
  • Define and implement security controls aligned with business and compliance requirements
  • Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle (requirements, design, implementation, validation)
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate security and privacy risks
  • Support security operations including incident, change, vulnerability, and configuration management
  • Lead risk-based decision-making and cost vs. Security trade-off discussions
  • Document security requirements, risks, and exceptions for ongoing projects
  • Influence product selection and negotiate security requirements with stakeholders and vendors
  • Monitor emerging security trends and recommend improvements to existing frameworks
  • Drive continuous improvement in security practices and governance standards
 
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in information security (architecture, operations, design, or development)
  • Experience designing, implementing, and validating security controls
  • Strong knowledge across multiple security domains:
    • Network security
    • Application security
    • Data protection
    • Identity & Access Management (IAM)
    • Security operations
  • Understanding of security processes:
    • Incident management
    • Change management
    • Vulnerability management
    • Configuration management
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across teams
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS)
  • Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Background in telecom, cable, or large enterprise environments
  • Experience working with Agile or DevSecOps teams
