Security Engineer

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Seeking candidates who fall between junior and highly senior resources. Preference is for ICs.
• Candidates should demonstrate: Real world deployment experience, Strong troubleshooting skills, CLI proficiency, Security mindset, Ability to solve complex problems, Willingness to learn new tools
• Years of experience are less important than demonstrated engineering capability.
• Candidates transitioning from analyst to engineer roles will be considered if they can articulate hands on experience and technical ownership.

AI & Cloud

• AI experience is considered a bonus, not a requirement. Team is AWS centric and has separate AI governance initiatives. Resource may interact with AI related projects from an integration and security tooling perspective.
• Strong AWS infrastructure understanding is highly desirable. Recent migration activities involved moving legacy infrastructure into AWS. Engineer will help integrate cloud logging, monitoring, and security tooling across AWS environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Security tool deployment and administration, Security architecture support, Cloud security integrations, Infrastructure security operations
• Automation and scripting, Logging and monitoring integration, Security process documentation
• Cross functional collaboration with: GRC, Disaster Recovery. Security Operations and Infrastructure teams

Required Skills- Security engineering experience , Strong networking fundamentals , Understanding of OSI model , AWS cloud exposure , Security operations experience , Infrastructure integration experience , Python or scripting experience , Automation experience
Preferred Security Tools – CrowdStrike , Splunk , Varonis , CyberArk , Rapid7 , Axonius and General cloud security tooling
