What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report access concerns, suspicious behavior, or security-related issues according to post orders.
- Support facility operations by following armed post procedures, maintaining awareness of utility infrastructure areas, and completing required reports, logs, and incident documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
