Position Overview:

The Security Guard provides professional security services at a social service facility. This role helps maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, clients, visitors, and the facility community by monitoring access, conducting patrols, observing activities, and reporting security concerns. The Security Guard also assists staff, clients, and visitors while maintaining a professional presence and responding to security situations according to site procedures.

 

This position is in Staten Island, New York.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, clients, visitors, and the facility community.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor access according to security procedures.
• Provide a professional security presence and assist with general facility concerns.
• Conduct patrols, observe activities, and report suspicious or unusual incidents.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports accurately and timely.
• Respond to security situations and emergencies according to site procedures.
• Assist visitors and maintain positive communication with staff and clients.
• Follow all post orders, company policies, and client requirements.

Requirements:

• Valid NYS Security Guard License required. 8-Hour Pre-Assignment and 16-Hour On-the-Job Training must be completed.
• 6 months-1 year of residential or corporate security experience preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English effectively.
• Professional appearance and strong customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow security procedures and post orders.
• Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Pay Range: USD $18.00 - USD $18.00 /Hr.
