As a Security Officer Ingress Screening Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving access control officer at a government location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily operations through routine presence and clear communication. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering professional service to staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification, manage visitor access logs, and report unauthorized or unusual activity to site contacts according to established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting security-related procedures and communication requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting access control concerns, damaged barriers, and/or other conditions that could impact daily operations.
  • Support screening and movement control processes for people, packages, and/or vehicles entering the location while following post orders and government-related guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with DPSS/DHS COLA requirements.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
