Emish Market is a Ukrainian grocery store located in Fife, WA, offering a wide selection of imported goods from Ukraine and other European countries. In addition to our market, we operate a full-service café, bakery, and meat department, preparing fresh Ukrainian dishes, pastries, and specialty meats daily. Our mission is to create a warm, authentic, and memorable experience for every guest.
We are currently seeking a professional, observant, and dependable Security Guard to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is attentive, calm under pressure, and committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our customers and staff.
What You'll Do
- Monitor store premises to ensure the safety of customers, employees, and property
- Provide a visible security presence and help prevent theft, vandalism, and safety incidents
- Patrol the sales floor, entrances, exits, and parking areas
- Respond quickly and calmly to incidents or emergencies
- Assist with de-escalating conflicts and handling difficult situations professionally
- Write clear and accurate incident reports when necessary
- Collaborate with management and team members to maintain a safe workplace
- Enforce store policies and safety procedures
Work Schedule: Thu-Sat 1:30 PM - 12:30 AM (1-hour lunch break)
Pay & Compensation:$22-25 per hour, depending on experience

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of security or loss prevention experience required
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stay calm and professional in stressful situations
- Good communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong sense of responsibility
- Valid Washington State Security Guard License (or ability to obtain) preferred
- Experience in retail or grocery environment is a plus
