Security Guard

Naugatuck High

Description:

1. Establishes and maintains an informal information network with students.

2. Patrols parking lots for unauthorized vehicles to maintain normal traffic flow, and to enforce all

Naugatuck Public School's rules and regulations.

3. Monitors student movement at Naugatuck High School during periods of congestion as directed.

4. Reports unauthorized student movement to the Dean of Student Affairs and the Director of Security.

5. Maintains open communications with the Dean of Student Affairs and Director of Security.

6. Prevents students from leaving school grounds as directed.

7. Assist, where necessary, with district-wide security needs.

8. Performs any and all duties which are necessary to comply with Naugatuck High School rules and

policies.

9. Assist with student escorts and interventions.

10. Assists the Director of Security and administration with investigations to maintain a safe school

environment.

11. Has a working knowledge and is familiar with fire drill protocol and emergency response codes.

12. Any other security function deemed necessary by the Director of Security and Dean of Student

Affairs.

Qualifications:

The applicant must be of good moral character, must pass a background check and be physically fit as determined by a licensed physician.

Experience & Training:

Not less than two (2) years employment in a position of similar responsibilities. A high school diploma or equivalent.

Affiliation: Union, 10 month position
