As a Security Guard Hospital Care Area Patrol in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $22.13 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, wayfinding, and adherence to facility entry procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
