PRIMARY TASKS AND DUTIES Inspect, monitor and patrol assigned areas. Perform thorough investigation of any suspicious situations. Utilize sound judgment and best concepts, practices and procedures to safely resolve situations. Communicate verbally and/or by writing with staff members, patients, visitors, vendors, customers, and/or managers in the resolution of problems or disputes. Maintain accurate, thorough reporting documentation. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Experience Demonstrated success in inspecting, monitoring and patrolling a facility. Prior experience in a community health care environment preferred. Significant knowledge of procedures and safety measures related to security. Demonstrated success and experience with difficult, problematic situations. Demonstrated success in customer service and response. Education High school diploma. Advanced course work in related field preferred. Must have Security Officer Commission Must have CPR Certification Physical Requirements Physical abilities to lift or push objects up to 50 - 80 pounds. * Ability to regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time
