Position Overview:

As a Security Guard assigned to a commercial entertainment facility, the primary responsibility is to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and the property. Duties include monitoring entrances and exits, conducting regular patrols, observing for suspicious or unsafe activity, responding to disturbances and emergencies, enforcing safety and security policies, and completing incident reports when necessary. The Security Guard is expected to remain alert, communicate professionally with staff and visitors, and respond appropriately to security concerns while providing excellent customer service.

 

This position is located in Staten island, New York. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas.
• Conduct regular security patrols and maintain a visible presence.
• Observe and report suspicious or unauthorized activity.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances.
• Enforce security policies, procedures, and facility rules.
• Manage crowds and assist with maintaining order during busy periods.
• De-escalate conflicts and handle difficult situations professionally.
• Complete accurate and detailed incident reports.
• Monitor security cameras and other surveillance systems when assigned.
• Assist guests and employees with security-related concerns.
• Communicate and coordinate with management and emergency personnel when necessary.
• Maintain a professional, alert, and commanding presence throughout each shift

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of security experience
• Valid and current New York State Security Guard License
• Strong commanding and professional presence
• Excellent personal presentation and grooming
• Strong situational awareness and observation skills
• Excellent customer-service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle conflict and de-escalate difficult situations
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Willingness to work any shift, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow security procedures and management instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic

Pay Range: USD $27.00 - USD $27.00 /Hr.
